FROM WORLD PLAYER OF THE YEAR TWO YEARS IN A ROW TO BENCH WARMER AT REAL MADRID

KAKA IN HIS GLORY DAYS

Former world footballer of the year Ricardo Izecson do Santos Leite, commonly known as Kaka was once one of the biggest names in football. Currently playing for Spanish league giants Real Madrid Kaka has not seen enough game time which has resulted in his perfomance dropping.

This past week Kaka was part of the Madrid side that lost to Bayern Munich in a Uefa championship semi-final match at Madrids home ground the Santiago Bernabeu. His perfomance was poor and lacked the quality that he is known to produce on the field. Kaka had said before that he wanted to leave the Madrid camp and go play elswhere as he was not getting game time at Real Madrid, this after recieving descent offers from Manchester United, Arsenal and his former team AC Milan http://www.soccernews.com/. Although Kaka felt that he needed to move his coach at Madrid, Jose Mourinho feels that the team still needs Kaka and has not agreed to release Kaka from his contruct.

KAKA STILL LEFT ON THE SIDE LINES

I think that it's time Kaka left Real Madrid seeing that the more he stays there, the faster his career will go down the drain and I do not see any point in Jose refusing to release him if he keeps him on the bench half the time, he is killing Kakas' talent and Kaka is not getting any younger.
It has come to my attention that most coaches both locally and internationally hold players to contructs although they are not using them, this to me kills players' talents hence Kakas current form. We might argue that maybe Kaka is not as good as he once was and that Jose putting him on the bench is not to blame for the way Kaka has being perfoming lately.

  1. That's disappointing that Kaka isn't doing his best anymore. Hopefully soon he'll get back out on the field and do what he does best although it's sad, such talent is going to waste.

    1. Ms Alter it is a talent wasted indeed but I think his only chance of getting back to the top of his game is if he were to leave Real Madrid

  2. for the past two seasons Kaka has been injury proned, hence he has only been used as a sub in some of the matches. I believe he will bounce back soon , form is temporary and class is permanent and Kaka is a class act.

    1. Lebo Kaka is a world class player but would say he'll get his form back at Madrid or do you think a move is best for him at this time

  3. I can say Mourinho does'nt understand kaka, this player is active in each and every position in the midfield department... he always gives his best when given game time. lets hope he'll play next season

    1. Kaka is a good player but playing for Madrid is no childs play, he needs prove to the coach that he is worthy of getting game time during training sessions. I also hope that he plays next season.

  4. It is tough playing for a big club like Real Madrid because they got a lot of quality players competing for positions.

    1. Vongani Kaka too is a quality player, better than most players at Real Madrid. I think Mourinho does not understand Kakas' style of playing, hence he puts him on the bench mot of the time

  5. its sad that he's no longer active the way he was before, but may be he is going to do it again next season.

  6. He should be given a chance to prove himself and if he keeps on dissapointing then they can let him go because as you said there is no point in him being put on the bench.

    1. His injuries and drop in form has made it hard for him to actually be given a chance, seeing that Madrid has players of the same calibre as him. So it will be tough for him to pull through.

  8. Being on the bench it's a lesson of every player who doesn't perform well on the field.I think KAKA will learn something for being on the bench so that he can perform well when he get a chance to be on the field.

    1. Marvee Kaka performed very well before Mourinho came to Madrid and ever since then he has being put on the bench, I feel that he was never given a chance by the coach

  9. Kaka is a great player indeed, but i think coaches do not things the same. Jose Mourinho he does not see him as a quality player to start the game Kaka nee to move on with his career before he gets a permanent bench seat.

    1. If he is to stay at Madrid, he needs to work hard and prove himself. But I think he should move seeing that Madrid is crowded with world class players.

  10. You did mention that his performance has been poor, I therefore think that the coache's decision to put him on the bench is a strategy for him to pull through.
