After a lot of criticism from fans and South African soccer critics last season, Kaizer Chiefs have shown great improvement in working as an entity to produce the desired results.

Kaizer goalkeeper, Itumeleng Khune is confident that the glamour boys will bring home silverware this season as they failed to deliver last season. Itumeleng Khune expressed his hunger to fill the Kaizer Chiefs trophy cabinet when he told football 411 that he knows that the past season was bad for the team and he promised that the team will go all out for the fans, this season. The team was not in good relations with its fans last season, due to the number of losses it suffered in the PSL. It is going to take a lot to regain the trust of fans out there.

As much as the glamour boys are on form, my concern however is whether they can maintain this and win the league or is it just a good start that will result in a bad ending as in the previous season. Does Kaizer Chiefs have what it takes to bring silverware home especially with the bad publicity sorrounding the team at the moment.
As a true kaizer chiefs fan I believe this is our year and we can most certainly maintain this standard and prove to others what we are capable of.
ReplyDeleteKaizer Chiefs have started in a very good way. Even from the yesterday match everyone can say that it was a good match. I believe that this team have learned from the previous tournament that loose is painful, therefore improved their ways of playing.
ReplyDeleteI think that last seson Kaizer Chiefs failed to appreciate the fact that the standard has risen in the PSL. The larger teams such as Orlando Pirates, Kaizer Chiefs and Sundowns can no longer expect to merely have to show up and be certain of victory against the other teams as many of them now posses talented squads who are very capable of beating teams like Chiefs, Pirates and Sundowns.

ReplyDeleteI think it takes more than being on top of the league to gain the fan's trust back. Kaizer Chiefs can only maitain it's standard if the team works harder and produces good results.
Deletethey showed some improvement when comparing with de last year performance. and i am 100% sure that they are going to be a 2012 pls campions. right now they have 13 point while their big opponents are seated on 9 points

ReplyDeleteApart from Chiefs being at the top of the table, i also believe the Kaizer Chiefs trophy cabinet is going to recieve this season. They are playing well and this days they are scoring clear goals, if not 2goals per game is more than that.

ReplyDeleteto be honest the chase is on but if Chiefs wants to win it they must not rest because the premier league is a marathon it is not won byt they first 6 games they must just keep on collecting maximum ponts it will come handy during the last games
